FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are kettlebells?

The kettlebell is a cast iron or cast steel ball with a handle attached to the top (resembling a cannonball with a handle). It is used to perform many types of exercises, including ballistic exercises that combine cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training.

At TFW, we focus on mobility and building core strength to promote longevity for the body.

What is TRX?

The TRX System, also known as Total Resistance exercises, refers to a specialized form of suspension training that utilizes equipment developed by former U.S. Navy SEAL Randy Hetrick.

TRX is an amazing tool for all levels. The suspension straps can easily increase/decrease difficulty or assist your workout for optimal results.

Do I need experience before taking a Kettlebell & TRX class?

No experience is necessary before taking a Kettlebell & TRX class. *But keep in mind it is a high-intensity workout.

If it’s your first time we recommend using no weight or very light weight.  To maximize the effectiveness of the KB/TRX workout we recommend taking a Personal Training session to learn the technique and proper form.

How early should I arrive before my first group class?

If it’s your first class, we suggest arriving 10 minutes before class to fill out a waiver and tour the studio.

Is there an age limit for group classes?

The lower age limit for Kettlebell & TRX classes is 13, all other yoga and meditation classes are ALL AGES. There is no upper age limit 😉

What should I bring to a group classes or personal training session?

All you need to bring is water and a small towel for wiping sweat. We’ll provide all of the equipment you’ll need for each group class or training session.

What is the class cancellation policy?

If you sign up for a class and cancel within 2 hours of the class start time, you will be charged.
